Skrap Pack Mission MMA

About Skrap Pack Mission

Skrap Pack Mission is a martial arts and MMA gym located in San Francisco's Mission District at 672 South Van Ness Avenue. Founded by Mike Peltzer, the gym offers daily classes in BJJ, Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, and MMA for all experience levels.

The name carries weight. The original Skrap Pack was built around Gilbert Melendez, Nick and Nate Diaz, and the Cesar Gracie team, Bay Area fighters who competed at the highest levels of MMA and represented a hard, technically grounded style of fighting that was distinctly their own. That culture is the foundation this gym is built on.

Mike has been part of the Skrap Pack family since 2013 and is a Gracie Fighter affiliate with his BJJ black belt under Gilbert Melendez. When he founded Skrap Pack Mission, the goal was straightforward: build a gym in the Mission District where serious training is available to everyone, regardless of background or experience level.

The gym is community-focused and coach-led. You will train with the same people every week, learn from coaches who are on the mat with you, and find a crew that takes the work seriously while keeping the environment welcoming. That balance, high standards and a good atmosphere, is what makes Skrap Pack Mission a place people stay.
